Honey and Cinnamon

You can use honey and cinnamon together as a treatment for several skin problems, specifically fungal infection on the skin.  These two is a perfect combination because both have powerful antifungal properties.

Combined cinnamon and honey together to create a paste and apply it topically in the infected are. It can provide a soothing effect in the skin and it can reduce redness and inflammation.

Recipe To Lighten Skin

Honey And Lemon

Have you gone tired of using over-the-counter beauty products to lighten your skin? You could try switching to a more natural way to brighten your skin. Why not try lemon and honey duo? There are many healthy reasons to use lemon. Particularly for the skin, lemon contains alpha-hydroxy acids (AHAs) that promote exfoliation while honey can moisturize the skin to avoid dryness. These two ingredients when combined can lighten skin and at the same time reduce the appearance of scars.

The Recipe:

To create a lemon-honey mask, you need a teaspoon of honey, a teaspoon of lemon juice, a tablespoon of milk (powdered) and half teaspoon of essential oil. Mix the ingredients together to create a paste. Apply it to the skin for at least 20-25 minutes and rinse it with water, preferably warm water.  Do this regularly.

Recipe For Reducing Scars

Honey and sweet almond oil

Honey mixed with sweet almond oil can be used for skin care like scar treatment and skin regeneration. Almond oil has soothing and antioxidant properties that can be a great remedy for scars. It can also be use to rejuvenate the skin as it contains Vitamins that can encourage healing of the skin and promote regeneration. When it is combined with honey which acts as natural moisturizer for fading scars, you can create a double power scar-reducing treatment without the risk of infection.

The Recipe:

Create a body scrub with ¼ cup of honey, 2 table spoons of almond oil and ½ cup of brown sugar.  Apply the mixture on your body in a circular motion, specifically targeting scarred area. Leave it for at least 5 minutes and rinse off with water. Do this regularly.

Recipe For Acne Treatment

Honey and Tea tree oil

Tea tree oil is known for treating acne and other symptoms that comes with acne like redness, inflammation, whiteheads and blackheads among many others. Tea tree oil has natural properties that can get rid of acne, however undiluted tea tree oil can sometimes be too harsh for the skin and it tends to dry the skin. To avoid this without reducing the affectivity of tea tree oil, you can combine it with honey for double benefits.

The Recipe:

Combine two drops of tea tree oil with 2-3 teaspoon of honey. Mix it and apply directly to the affected area. Leave it for a few hours or if you can take it, leave it overnight. Wash it off with water. Repeat the process on a regular basis.

Honey alone can work as a treatment for several skin issues. But when it is combined with other natural ingredients, it can provide a safer and more effective treatment that can give many benefits for the skin without spending too much.
