New Xbox Adaptive Controller: Aid for Disabled Players

Not anyone who wears capes is a superhero. Some might be a police, a teacher, parents, or even a game controller creator. You might ask, how can a creator be a hero? Well, Microsoft just did with their Xbox Adaptive Controller. According to Microsoft, the said device is designed to “remove barriers to gaming by being adaptable to more gamers’ needs.”

As stated in Tech News World, to be able to provide accessibility to people with disabilities, Microsoft partnered with several high-profile global organizations. This organization includes The AbleGamers Charity, The Cerebral Palsy Foundation, Craig Hospital, SpecialEffect, and Warfighter Engaged.

Technology keeps on upgrading every day. This new Xbox Adaptive Controller is one of the best gadgets since it serves as the aid for people with limited mobility. Here are the things you may want to know about the newest playing controller, whether you are playing an old or new game.

If you will put the old controller and the new one together, you will immediately notice the differences. The older version must be held using both hands while the Xbox Adaptive Controller can be put on the table. People with physical disability are given the chance to have fun without struggling while using the joysticks since the gamepad includes air-power input methods or food pedals

Allows greater flexibility

Anyone can play and have fun without struggling. Being happy isn’t limited to how you move a person. With the Xbox Adaptive Controller, you can play your favorite game without getting annoyed with how hard it was to move the joystick.

Microsoft even released a statement saying that “the controller will feature fully programmable buttons and up to 19 connection ports for external switches, joysticks, and buttons, giving users a fully customizable controller experience unlike any other in gaming.”

Free to have it customized

Microsoft knows that gamers with limited mobility find it hard to use a controller that doesn’t fit with what they need. This is the reason why they come up with a solution to the said dilemma. One of the main goals of this innovation is to make gaming accessible to every individual as long as they have the willingness to play.

As stated on Microsoft’s website, “Create a custom controller experience that is uniquely yours. Designed primarily to meet the needs of gamers with limited mobility, the Xbox Adaptive Controller features large programmable buttons and connects to external switches, buttons, mounts, and joysticks to help make gaming more accessible.”
